FGS Global (UK) Limited

Lobbyist. The political lobbying firm FGS Global declared that it lobbied the government on behalf of Optum, the UK subsidiary of US private healthcare group United Health, between July and September 2024.

FGS Global’s other clients have included Ernst and Young, which has been criticised for charging the NHS more than £2,000 a day for its consultants, and Accord Healthcare, a UK pharmaceutical company which was fined for overcharging the NHS.

Apparently FGS Global provided Rachel Reeves with a campaign advisor between February and May 2024 via a donation-in-kind declared to the Electoral Commission by the Labour Party and said to be worth more than £17,000 (according to The Times newspaper).

From the MPs’ Register of Interests we can see this firm funded a further £12,929 of “logistical costs” for Reeves at the Labour Party conference in October 2024, and made numerous smaller donations that totalled £14,213.

We are working to ascertain if the figure of £14,213 is included in the £17,000 figure declared by the Labour Party, and how the discrepancy of c.£3,000 in the MPs’ Register of Interest declarations can be accounted for, or if the £17,000 is an additional sum, in which case we would like to know why it was not included in the MPs’ Register of Interests.
